Tuesday 9th of June 2009

In this lesson we learnt how to make our own buttons and insert it into our web page. I managed to create a button for home and a cas week button. We used Photoshop to create the buttons. I used the magic wand tool, the fill tool, the polygon lasso tool, the quick select tool and also the gradient tool to help create my button. This lesson taught me something very interesting about creating buttons but I felt I could have done more buttons more efficiently.

Tuesday 2nd of June 2009

Today I added a new page to my website the page to the STC concert I used the same base page, Index as a base template and created a page for the concert. I have added links also to the other pages of my websites and I have added a picture of each page here. The black page is the page for the concert, the green for Oscars, blue for index and red page for cas week.

Today we continued to use dreamweaver to create links to other pages on our web. On the top is the homepage or index page of my website and the green image below is the page of our School oscars.

I used the same page but edited the background color, images and the information. I did it quite successfully and even without the teacher telling me I found out and managed to add a flash button to the home

Today we started to use the application Adobe Dreamweaver Cs3 to create our own webpage. I started by adding the review title to make it look attractive. The background of the webpage is the school colours and I used different writing and links, and pics to make it interesting. The Picture is just a beginning of the webpage being edited on Dreamweaver.

Health Week

Today we used Adobe Photoshop or xara to create a design for our school netball team. I decided to use photoshop to create a sweater which contains the school colours, yellow, light blue and navy blue. It also has the school team name "Shatin Spartans" For this I used the fill tool for the different colours on the shirt and also the polygon lasso tool to have different sections of colours

Tuesday 5th May 2009

Today we used notepad and word to create a code for our own webpage. We found out that using word is not the best software to make a webpage because it uses the most kilobytes using a lot of space. I learned how to type codes to insert different images and change the different font colours. If we did it with word the webpage would take forever to load.





The webpage I created was a webpage that had a green background colour and black writing. I also added a simple snowboard image to it to attract attention

Evaluating the design of two web sites
